Do not buy a GM or Chrysler car unless you support bailing out unprofitable companies at the expense of successful companies. With any luck, these two bad boys will be back in bankruptcy in a few years.

I think consumers should buy which ever vehicle they like, sorry.
I wish GM and Chrysler the best of luck...

I'm still pulling for GM but Chrysler can suck it (just like they've done for that past few decades).

I have very little faith that a government run automaker can be profitable... These companies will continue to lose money and require more in federal bailouts and will probably head into bankruptcy again. Better sooner than later. There are plenty of other auto markers which can do a much better job at better prices.
Just say NO to Government Motors!

Not to interrupt your little diatribe with pesky facts, but both of these companies are in bankruptcy right now.
I'd also like to wish them success as I'd hate to see our dollars being wasted in a business failure. If they pull out of it, America can be proud that we helped get them back on their feet.
Did you ever stop to think about the impact that shuttering two major auto companies would have on the supporting businesses, workers, and their families? I'm talking about companies that make items that are used in the production, distribution, and aftermarket.

I'm not against the current bail out but this argument could go both ways. If both of these companies end up going down the toilet anyway then it might make more sense to let them die quickly versus a long, painful, and expensive death.

Ok don't use any bank that took the bail out and see how far you get. At least the auto makers and being held responsible for what they do with the money.
I would much rather support an American made government owned auto maker that employs Americans than a foreign owned auto maker.

Now that it's a government run company we're all paying GM. Either you get a car out of it or you're paying GM in the form of soda tax.
I am very AGAINST the bailout, asking the CEO of GM to step down, and hiring a new CEO to do the "pre-packaged" bankruptcy that was designed to keep the union. They should did a standard bankruptcy from the beginning then they could of shedding themselves of the union thus making cars more competitively. I'm not the first to say this, but don't be surprised if GM's auto division HQ is moved to DC...
