I just booked it out, and it is way overpriced, even at $1,500.

I also see someone has now bid on it, he can have it as far as I am concerned.

Wasn't that a mechanical twin to a Dodge Colt, the later edition? And, IIRC, I think it was also sold under the old Eagle nameplate. I don't think that they were especially reliable vehicles, since I knew someone who had one of the Colts new and it had problems.

Not sure about that particular engine in that car, but some of those Mirages were notorious for oil burning.

The auction already ended, but I would like to mention that as everybody knows, miles is not a direct measure of car condition and like somebody said earlier on this thread, it depends on where is has been driven, but most important, mileage can be easily altered to make it more appealing.

I do electronic mileage adjustment via eeprom reprogramming locally for example, for people who buy an used instruments cluster and want it adjusted to their real current value. Of course, proposals for lowering it are always around.

It is not only illegal, but dishonest and what amazes me is that most of the offers come from used car dealer owners.

Cheers,

Richard

It says "no modifications" but somebody clearly put in whiteface gauges. Wonder what all used to be on there but was taken off...

True, but those analog odometers break if they are rolled backwards...besides, rather than cringe at the OP wanting to buy a rebadged Chrysler product going on 20 years old, I'd invite him/her to hit up Craigslist and find something half as old for similar pricing. Say a Grand Marquis, Crown Vic, or some GM Oldsmobuick that has some staying power.

Really, even if the seller did tweak an odometer correctly, how do you make this car any more appealing than it is...which ain't much.
