That's called "stalling". Seems like you didn't learn how to balance the rpms. An easier way to learn is to (while in neutral and no e-brake) press down completely on the clutch with one foot, while breaking with your other foot; switch from neutral to first gear; move your other foot from the brake to the gas pedal and steadily rev it (and keep it ) to about 2500-3k rpms; meanwhile, gradually release the clutch as you shift to 1st gear, and the car will move when it has the proper balance. By then you'll be off the clutch. After a while you'll know the rpms you need just by hearing the engine.

Believe me--I have my stories of stalling in traffic (with angry crowds behind me), as well as running through stop signs to avoid having to stop. Once you learn how to pull off in 1st gear (and switching to neutral before releasing the clutch to stop), everything else is golden.

The one thing I noticed is that manual cars are cheaper than automatics

In 2010 and earlier the manual was more expensive on the Challenger. No idea why. They flip flopped that in 2011+.

You do not have to be another passenger with a steering wheel like for example, you have 1 hand on the steering wheel and your other hand is holding your food

I also thought so until I started looking for one.

Not the infinitis. I did extensive search for newish car and there was not a single time they were even close. Every time I looked I could get less millage cars for the same year and about $1500 less, if I went automatic. Very interesting. Simply demand and supply. There aren't many manual used cars around and people who have them hold them. But I won't regret the premium, what a fun car to drive.

Or 1 hand on the steering wheel and the other hand on the transmission lever shifting manually.
