Police: Driver Distracted By iPod Led To Deadly Drexel Hill Crash - cbs3.com (http://cbs3.com/topstories/Delaware.County.Memorial.2.1129271.html - broken link)
20 year old girl will have to live the rest of her life knowing she killed her friend and put another friend in critical condition all because she was having problems with her ipod while driving the car. Enjoy the rest of your life little girl.
According to another article, she was driving a two door 2003 Hyundai Accent which weighs about 2,300 lbs. If she'd hit another car or a wall there'd be a very good chance she would have been killed.
Exactly why I laugh when I scour Craigslist for overpriced used trucks...overpriced mainly because someone thinks some stupid Ipod or MP3 hookup is worth getting stupid over.
"Nah man, I'd rather have the factory CD player back in there. Peace."
I like to stick with factory stereo. Most are easy to operate without taking your eyes off the road. I do change out the factory speakers. Just wait, if they haven't done this already, they'll probably come out with a car stereo that has an ipod docking station that resembles an 8 track player.
I cant stand seeing people (seems like most are younger girls) trying to drive and mess with a cell phone/texting/ipods etc. Its against the law but you never see any cops parked near the exit of any high school here. I would bet that 90% of the girls leaving the school parking lot have a cell phone in their hand, Cops are slackin.
The iPod hook ups are nice but I do also have the FM transmitter one too.
It is rather sad she ran over 2 people due tot aking her eyes off the road.....messing with an iPod is as bad as texting....
