We see a lot of pretty zany things in California's bigger cities including those silly spinner wheels that keep spinning after you've come to a stop. This fake turbo kit--and I watched the video clip--is probably about the most silly way of frittering away $19.95 that I've seen in a long while.
I needed to replace the timing belt on my old Chrysler Lobrid Landau Downsized Strato-Cruiser (with peeling paint, no less!). They overtightened the new timing belt, so I get a high-pitched whine when I rev the engine. It sounds a heckuva lot more like a supercharged engine than what the car in the vid clip has, by far! When the odometer gets close to 180,000 miles (just about another 40,000 miles or so), it'll be due for another new timing belt, and maybe the whine will go away at last.
At least their advertising is right, from their web page "makes your car sound like it has a fake turbocharger"
Why would you want your car to sound like it has a fake turbo charger?
I guess kids think it sounds cool and it's a fad
