I'm sure a rice burner will see it and think it's cool.

I'm a very proud ricer who will say that's a really cool idea! But it aint going on my ricer. Stick em on some big domestic tank, like an Impala. Those cars are used to wasted energy.

It seems that unnecessary lighting such as tacky body lighting, ground effects, additional interior lighting and other things such as excessive stereo equipment and ridiculous AV setups are all things predominantly found in fart canned econo sh*tbox rice burner units... Equal or perhaps even more wasteful than lit tires.

I have been pretty interested in these tires but I can't find any information on them. It seems all of my search results either link to or at least reference the OP's link. I would really like to see some of these tires and the special rims. I can only imagine wheel balancing and bulb breakage were the show stoppers for this gimic. Anyone able to find anything else on these?
