There are a few enthusiast groups, if you find one with the 5-speed and V-6 it's a decent car. Depends on price and condition, how handy you are, any car that old will want some quality time in the garage with you. Some parts are easy, some ain't.
that is a car you buy if you have a passion for it, otherwise there are cars that do what it does, better, for less....... i saw one for sale the other day and did a double-take because i've not seen one since the late 80s
Funny comment, but obviously untrue. You know the j a p s copy us, right? The Fiero came out in 1984, and the MR2 came out a year later in 1985. Get your facts straight before posting nonsense.
The only Fiero I'd consider is an '88. That's the year they gave it a worthwhile suspension. Before then they were skittish and handled like chuckwagons.

I managed to pick up a 1986 Fiero GT which was the latest body style for only $1,000 from a car auction many years back. It was very fun to drive with the 4 speed manual. It handled well, but I do agree that the 1988 was the best year considering they upgraded the transmission to a 5 speed, and made the suspension even better.
