That should not be a regret because a used Range Rover can be a dicey proposition, especially if they are too low in price, and don't have a full service history with the vehicle.

+1 for not being caught in a Prius. I'd feel safer on a bicycle.

I hope you can at least park between the lines.

Yeah, it makes one wonder doesn't it? Probably a present member with a 2nd user name.

How sweet of you to make blanket statements.

We have 3 cars in the driveway. A Miata - very small. An Eclipse - small. And an Explorer for my husband who is disabled and needed something he could get in and out of. Ego had nothing to do with it.

It was also awful handy to have a van when we had our 5 kids at home, and 2 of their friends were living with us too. I had a hell of a time strapping 7 teens to the roof of that Miata.

Thankfully he doesn't have the elitist, snobby attitude you seem to have. Stay on your side of the pond and keep your uninformed opinions to yourself.

So we can burn through our remaining oil reserves as fast as possible and leave our children and future generations in the dust fighting for scraps. Duh!

Another reason Americans drive big cars & europeans don't - we actually reproduce and have kids.

Kids require -by law - big honkin car safety seats the size of fighter plane ejection seats. Have more then 2 kids in 8-9 years and you need a third row just to accomodate the seats.

3rd row = SUV or minivan.

Why should I drive a small car - that I don't like - when I can drive the type of vehicle I do like to drive?

I like our SUV's (we have 2), our Pickup Truck (for towing our boat and RV), our Lincoln Town car (can't beat the ride)

Nothing to do with insecurity.

Has EVERYTHING to do with FREEDOM.
