I find it funny that having power windows are evidently more important than power locks...
"I don't care if someone breaks into my car but I'll be damned if I have to manually crank up my windows."
HAHA Good point speedy! Actually I didn't even put that down as mine locks automatically after I drive 10'. Geez, put me down for power locks too in case my next one doesn't do that lol
Oh and the seat warmer thing.... When I have someone ride with me in the summer, I will sneak and turn that baby on and watch them sweat. Noone ever says anything and I am sure their tooshy is just roasting ROFL I know, I know, it's mean but a girl's gotta get her jollies somewhere!
i cant imagine anyone "wanting" manual transmission.
A manual transmission is always my #1 priority, once I settle on a model or to to choose from. I'd be bored silly driving an automatic. A standard transmission is more fun to drive, more economical, and less expensive to repair. What's not to like?
I once drove an acquaintance's Edsel that had a pushbutton automatic transmission. I gotta admit that was fun!

The only time I miss a clutch pedal is in my big truck; backing under a trailer and "bumping" a dock is a lot easier to "feel" with a clutch pedal. (The previous generation of big truck transmissions were automatic with a clutch pedal you would only use to start and stop). The latest transmissions are fully automatic. Other than those two situations, I'd NEVER go back to a manual. Now, my pickup is a 5-speed. And I enjoy it. But I do mostly freeway driving and so shifting isn't a large part of my driving.
RE: Manual tranny. I would rather have a manual instead of an automatic. I like actually having control of my car. Plus, with the few newer cars that I've driven that were automatics, it seemed like in order to slow down a bit you actually had to hit the breaks instead of just letting up off of the gas.
Anyways, outside of the normal options such as power windows, locks, etc, the ones I currently like the most are: heated seats, auto-dim rearview mirror with temp and direction, and finally steering wheel radio controls.
I'm short, so tilt steering and power seats are a huge bonus. The most recent car we bought, I insisted on having tilt steering. I want to make sure I can point the steering wheel down so in the event of an accident, the air bag doesn't bust open into my face. I don't have power seats now but I did in the past and it was great, I was able to put the seat a little higher than normal, which seemed to increase my ability to see.
I have a power sunroof and love it! It's better than a convertible, I can enjoy the fresh air without my hair getting too messy. lol
air, stereo and a GFG. The other stuff is optional...power locks, windows seat warmers etc...
Manual if it's a sporty or a truck thing, auto if it's a week day drive to work thing.
Oh yeah.......what's a GFG ???
