Would you ever buy a Toyota pickup with a Ford/GM motor? I see alot of people taking out the original 4 cylinder motors and dropping in bigger motors from Ford or GM so they could add more power, I've once seen an early 1980s Toyota 4x4 pickup with an Olds 455 underneath the hood.
Maybe you've heard of the recent huge Toyota recall and their past practice of hiding and denying recall problems Toyota just STARTED THE LARGEST RECALL OF ANY AUTO COMPANY
unless I did the swap myself no those old 80's toys had alot of rust problems plus who knows how much mileage the motor has and most of those are abused and have the crap kicked out of them
Probably not. I would buy the Toyota for it's reliable long lasting engine, something Ford does sometimes, and GM rarely produces.
Ford and GM both built many of the longest lasting, most robust engine designs. They both used car engine designs and did minor changes for medium and heavy duty truck use and industrial applications.
I would not because first that has to be done correctly and is a major job to do so. Then you pretty well have to be able to work on it or know someone who can. Such a conversion is for customizers rather than a every day driver for most people.

SEEMS THEY DON'T WALK ON WATER LIKE U MIGHT THINK
You gotta be kidding me about Toyota going through a huge recall and that they just started the largest recall of any auto company, I am aware that Toyota's reliability and durability has declined in the recent years
Heck no! Toyotas are the best vehicles in the world. Putting in Detroit crap will just cheapen it.
