That's talking about flashing to warn other drivers about speed traps, not flashing because their high beams are on
I know, but some posters there think they'll ticket any kind of flashing of the lights. I don't, but I just thought of it. It's probably not that reason. I just put it out there without thinking about it.
Actually people around here have no problem flashing when lights are blinding them. My Ram has had the front leveled and larger tires installed since new and for a little while I was constantly getting flashed with my low beams on. Then I adjusted the lights and haven't had a problem since.
What i dont like about foglights is most of them will never work by design. They are only there to add fanciness such as 94-04 mustang gts and third/secod gen mopar minivans. That and some cars dont have a switch, thetu automatically come on with the highs(gallany, last gen 99-03) or like my grannies 02 mountaineer.
Yes, rear fog lights are always red -- never seen it otherwise. And it's almost always European cars that come equipped with them because they are required equipment in Europe (and required to be red). Oldsmobile put them on the Alero and/or Aurora for the last couple of years, but other than that I can't think of any non-European car that had/has them off the top of my head
Pontiac grand am grand prix and some bonneville from around 90somethig up used white rear fogs as additional reverse lights.

My fog light set is operated via an auxillary button located next to the cruise control button on the Forester.
I find it's a "dig me" plague. It is usually people who have to make up for personal shortcomings with big gas guzzling vehicles. I LOVE it when I see one fog light burned out. That way when these dolts need their fog lights for what they were designed for, they won't have them.

If a bulb is burned out you change it just like you do with your headlights.
Your statement makes no sense. Nobody needs fog lights in the fog.
