Actually, the scratching isn't that large .. also, it's barely noticable ..

Paint just came off that's it and all I need to do is try to get those "black" marks painted so they get covered. I'm pretty sure it can't be that expensive. Maybe a 100 couple dollars, 1000? Your kidding me ......
You are an example of why I don't park near people in the parking lot. I'd rather park at the back and walk all the way to the front than have someone recklessly damage my vehicle and then take off without so much as a note and phone number. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I guess there is another advantage for me driving a beat up old Escort. I do not have to worry about the OP hitting me and taking off. As much dents as I already have, I could care less.

I had someone rub my old car a couple years ago similar to what the OP did...I guarantee she did some damage to the other guy's paint (and depending on how fast he/she was turning, probably put a nice small dent in the body). Luckily in my case, the girl that did it to me was responsible enough to own up to her mistake and leave her contact information.

I have never had this situation happen to me per se, but I have had worse. I have had people hit me while I was driving, damage my cars much more so, then take off and get away. Maybe that is why I have been so vocal on this thread. I truly HATE people like this that have no respect for anyone other than themselves. The fact that the OP did this, and then asked us for help infuriates me even more.

I care.
The picture below shows what happened to my cougar when someone bumped the side and drove off, leaving no note.
You can see the creasing on the door, they also caught the front fender, and the rear quarter.

Because it was a custom colour, it couldn't be matched and the whole car had to be resprayed.

Paid for out of my own pocket.

All because someone "just clipped it" and was too worried about their own car, I presume they thought mine would be ok.

I hope the curse i put on them worked !!

OP, please, if you haven't reported it already, go the the police, and report the bump.
Take responsibility for what you did.

Shop around all the body shops incl one day paint & earl shibes. I bet you can get your bumper painted for a few hundred bucks. Why not just rub it out with rubbing compound & paint it yourself ? Save some money big time. I wet sanded & primed my hood & trunk. Total cost: $12.00 (paint & sandpaper).

What an ahole. That's called hit and run, you know. I hope the owner of the car you hit reads this forum because you can be tracked down by your computer activity.

Ever hear of Karma?

Heck, maybe you can make a few extra $$$ if you have an honest person who "tapped" your car unlike the OP.
