There is an odd noise emanating from the front wheels of my vehicle. This is occurring afer I got my rear tires rotated to the front. I'm guessing that the tires are irregular in size? Or, perhaps I've done some recent damage to the wheels so that they are no longer perfectly round?
I've had a rotation, balance and alignment very recently so none of those services seem to have fixed the problem.
The sound is similar to "whoo...whoo...whoo..." The faster I go, the more frequent the noise, as a function of speed.
Anyone dealt with this? I guess I'll go to the shop. Again.
With the tire now in the front, the sound is closer to you ... and if the car is a FWD, then the tire is now being subjected to more loads than when it was in the back.
Definitely head back to your tire shop and let them check it out. This type of problem can lead to a catastrophic tire blow-out on the road, or very poor handling (like driving a car on a flat tire even when it's not yet flat).
I'd have to agree.
Could be a bulge in the tyre, or a buckled wheel.
Have it investigated asap.

If the noise is more audible from about 40 mph and up, I'd have the wheel bearings checked. Was the noise there before you rotated the tires? If not, then my suggestion won't make a lot of sense.
No. The frequency of the 'warble' simply increases with speed, which suggests either the wheel or the tire is not round, or that there is some other issue.
Do you think I could get this covered under the tire warranty?

In addition to what others have said... it could be cupping, which would suggest you may need new shocks in the rear. Actually it's best to replace them all around at the same time.
yes, it make sense. if the tires had been on the back, the wear is totally different than the front, so now the front tires is scratching (sort of)different angles on the tires. therefore ill never rotate tires.
