I get C&D and MT. I find that MT is heavily biased to whoever pays them the most. C&D is a bit better but not by much. I subscribed to both because I was able to get killer 3 year deals on both a few years ago.

Yates was sort of the Hunter S. Thompson of automotive journalism. I do miss his wit.

Car and Driver is kind of the "Mad Magazine" of car rags. Some of the others take themselves too seriously. Not a bad thing, but not as an enjoyable read for me.

They are all shades of grey.

CD I have not liked as much since the old guard that was writing left. (Yates, Csere, etc).

MT seems to reinvent itself every 6 months lately and has been for some time. There content seems a little more inconsistent. Also, I think they have become too much about their COY awards.
