If you could buy a full sized pick up truck, what would it be? (auto, best)

F-150. A "trucky" truck. I had an 06 F-150 with a six-stick, rubber floors, crank windows and I loved it; ran good, tracked and handled well and was solid and quiet.
I drove an '06 Dodge 1 ton dually for work a few years ago. It had the Cummins diesel and a six speed shifter. Nice truck is all I can say. There were electrical gremlins lurking beneath, but other than that it
A. Drove and handled quite well, heavily loaded or empty
B. Had all the power I could ever ask for
C. Was actually very quiet
D. Towed just about anything
E. Made long drives comfortable on my ol backside
Personally I have owned Fords and GMCs. My favorite was a '77 3/4 ton GMC. If I was looking at new trucks, I'd stop dead in my tracks. They're all bloated and kinda ugly in my opinion. I'd be out there scrounging in the desert with Greg and Mac.
Anything from a 4 speed to an 18 speed, I like to run through the gears. I like to be in control. Really nice coming down a long grade
Totally agree with the 18-speed...
My '87 mustang that I use to have was a 5-speed, what a blast it was to drive that car, only problem was getting pulled over , what seemed like all the time...
(was younger back then)...
My '97 Tacoma is the last Standard Tranny Vehicle that I've purchased...
I have been eyeing a 92 F350 with IDI diesel and a crew cab. Use it as a work truck. Used for pulling.
