I've heard good things about the Fusion from a co-worker who bought one. It is ugly though.I would probably go with the new 2011 Sonata coming out this summer, but would wait for the 2nd year in case they have minor issues to work out. It sure looks like nice! Lexus looks!

It really does look great, and after driving a fully-loaded one (including a moonroof) for two weeks that I rented from Hertz in Nashville in 2008, I was really impressed with that car.

The 2011 Sonata is going to be a serious challenger to the Accord & Camry, if and when the word gets out.

I've seen the new Sonata in person. Hyundai makes a decent car, and I buy American through and through, so I'm not just saying that.

I will, however, say that it is the most hideous turd to ever be dropped on the road.

I think the Acura TL carries that distinction. It's absolutely hideous from every angle. Plus it's a terrible car in general.

The new Fusions look very, very nice. I'm seeing a ton on the road with temp tags.

2011 Kia Optima is the best looking car under 50k.

You say some strange things. The TL is certainly not everyone's cup of tea in the looks department. Yet I think in its gray or blue colors the "beak" isn't so strong a styling element. And from the rear it looks angular and agressive in an interesting way. I think Acura went too far with it and will end up toning it down.

The new TSX is better looking though.

But to say it is a terrible car is silly. Not as good as a 3 or 5 series? Yes. Or maybe not as good as a G37? Maybe so. But it has a very well crafted interior, excellent handling in the SH-AWD version, and great electronics.

I'm getting the Fusion. I don't like how the Sonata looks in person. Looks like an attempt towards a Lexus and I can't stand Lexus.

i must say i still have to see one in person to get a better look. saw one briefly from a distance

in some recent pics the front end / fascia looks completely overdone imo. just over styled, too much going on below and around the grille. things are bulging and protruding from everywhere. including the bumper cover

they call it "sculptured fluidity." but looks to be too much emphasis on the sculptured part

Ive studied the new Sonata quite closely. I actually kinda like it. The interior is sumptious, nice lines. The exterior is unique, I like it. Its refreshing to see something so daring in a rather boring market. I still think the Fusion looks sharper and is more my style, but if the Fusion wasnt on the market, the Sonata would definitely be my choice. No way would I consider the current Camry or Accord, too fugly and too, well, BORING.

It's a terrible car. I hate being in them, and I really hate driving them.
