Whatever. This whole thread has been about how they won't do anything unless it's a deal. They aren't shopping for a car, they are obsessed with finding what they consider to be a deal.

When someone says their budget is $8K - $10K and says they offered the guy $8K, I've been in sales long enough to know that was probably the initial offer. I've also been in it long enough to know that if the car is a good one, they are stupid for passing on it over $250.

Are you buying the car?

No?

Then what business is it of yours if they pay $8,000 for it or $8,250 for it, or don't buy it at all?

They didn't want to pay more than $8,000 for it, so they didn't. End of story.

Are you buying the car? No? Then what business is it of yours if I offer my opinion on his (her) buying process?

For one, because your opinion is irrelevant to the actual topic. And for another, your opinion assumes the worst about someone you don't even know in the absence of all the facts, which is a dicky thing to do. If you don't want to be called out for being dicky, don't make dicky assumptions about people.

And I take it your opinion on my opinion is somehow relevant? Aside from the fact that before you stepped in and began acting like a dick, I was advising ol' Whatshisname not to pass up the car he originally posted about over $250? Yeah, totally not relevant at all.

If you assume the worst, you're never disappointed.

And if you always assume it of people regardless of foundation, you'll also generally be regarded as a dick. People tend not to put a lot of stock in dicky opinions proffered by dicks.

Just sayin'.

You keep calling me a dick (albeit in a childish way) as if you think it's some kind of insult.

Why not stop being one yourself and let the thread go back on track? Since you obviously have nothing to add.

Like I said... just sayin'.

If you want to go on being dicky, go ahead. But expect to get called out on it again when you do. If that's a problem for you, there's an easy fix.

OK, so it's not a problem for you then?

Noted.

With that, what was it you said about getting this thread back on track?
