................... you mean Lexus? Seriously, look at that new HS250h and the Corolla and tell me why i should buy one vs the other. my favorite part of that trainwreck is that the Hybrid gains you no mileage over the Corolla.

and FWIW, with the exception of the Escalade, i don't think any Cadillac shares any sheetmetal with any other GM vehicle made at this point. Cadillac also has engines that are unique to Cadillac. they may have used to play the rebadging game, but GM seems to have learned their lesson from that in the last few years and Cadillac is all the more better for it.

Although I am still not impressed with many GM vehicles, their re-do of Cadillac is very impressive. Changing it from a grandparent's brand to a respected luxury brand is an achievement.

I despise Escalades but the CTS, especially the V, is very impressive.

Don't forget Buick. I think the new Buicks are great looking cars, inside and out.

They aren't your Grandmothers Century anymore.

I would say FORD CANTOUR. I never drove for one month without going to the mechanic. I felt like suing ford company at the time. I donated it to a charity organization when it was only 5 yrs old with 42k miles on it. My current car is toyota 1996 with 160k miles on it and it runs without problems; my brother in-law just drove it to buffalo.

I understand that FIAT got a Court Decision that they are not responsible for cars built before their takeover of Chrysler. If that is the case, Warranties on those cars are about worthless. Chrysler was bankrupt,

The Omni/Horizon were 10x the car that the Chevette was. I could take the Horizon up to 80mph within a few seconds. I could take the car up the dise of a steep hill that was covered with a foot of snow with no problem.

On the other hand, the Chevette could get stuck in 1# of snow on a flat parking lot. The only time that I could get it over 65 was to drive down a mountain while flooring it.

Both vehicles had horrendous fit and finish. The Chevette was no non-featured that there was little that could go wrong with it. The Horizon aspired to a lot more but the quality was unbelievably bad. But when it was running, it was a fun car to drive.
