I've been debating for awhile selling my low mileage Z06 for a later model (but 1st generation XKR) 2001-06. The Lotus is my fun car, but this is more for a daily driver in the warm weather (already have a beater SUV for the winter).
It seems like it could almost be a straight trade, may cost me $5-10k, but that's not too big of a deal to me.
My question is: Which car would you take and why?
The Z06 is obviously faster, corners better, etc etc. Also extremely cheap to service. The advantages of the Jag is the better looking styling (in my opinion), quiet ride, comfort, NAV system (although fairly primitive) and adaptive cruise control.
I would keep your Z06 it is one sweet ride
maybe use that 5-10K for a supercharger to throw on the vette no point in upgrading the suspension because you got the lotus for the twisty's
What does your daily drive normally consist of? If I rarely got the chance to exploit the Z's performance and already had a fun car, I'd opt for the Jag. If you do enjoy the Z for what it is on a regular basis, I'd be worried about getting bored with the XKR in a relatively short amount of time.
I'd actually step up to a low-mileage C6, many improvements on the C5. I really like Z06's but never heard of anyone having one as a DD, doesn't the stiff ride and seats make the ride uncomfortable? I don't think I could drive my C6 everyday, just is not comfortable for a commuting vehicle in my opinion. Best of luck on whatever you decide!

Oh man I miss whole foods...
But yeah, the Aston would be my choice. Superb styling, loud when you want it to be and quiet when you don't (the butterfly valve in the exhaust), decent well tried and tested engine, reasonable reliability (from what I hear and read in long term tests) and I mean... It's an Aston, that kinda sells it right there.
