Why are there no more "Unexpected Acceleration" reports?

Why is there no proof of "Unexpected Acceleration" from the experts all over the world?

Could it be it never existed...except those caused by floor mats?

Stupid, stupid people!!!

It was the story of the week... lots of people watched, read and sat through commericals, keeping those commerical and ad slots profitable. This week, it's something else.

Strangely enough, neither of my Toyotas sped out of control during the whole circus act...

I guess people decided not to be retarded and switch into neutral and brake instead.

Why keep up with the destruction? Toyota got kicked in the balls and they are still groveling around the dirt in pain. The media got what they wanted although im sure the debacle is not completely over yet.

I still have to point and laugh and Toyota over the whole thing since they and their bleeding heart fan base deserved every bit of this torture. What is also funny is that I personally know of half a dozen or so brand new Toyotas that were purchased PURELY due to the emergency incentives.... a tactic only in place so Toyota could keep sales records shiny and clean but beyond that won't do sh*t.

Toyota quality has already been passed up by Ford and is steadily losing ground to GM. And so the game of leap frog continues. I suspect that Toyota will once rise to the top again but their turn this round is seemingly over...

All that said, if I didn't have student loans to first pay off I may have bought myself a new Camry or Tacoma.

What's funny is that some think that the lack of news somehow proves that there never was a problem, or that it's all fixed now.

Here's some news: These issues are still being investigated.

Ford most certainly has not passed up Toyota quality. I'd put them on equal footing with GM closing in.

Considering that that we really haven't seen a resolution to this, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't an issue to begin with. People love to blame everything except for themselves when something goes wrong and there are a few of these cases where the "victim" was found to be lying.

I'm also open to the possibility that something was indeed wrong but the chances were so minuscule (fractions of a percent) that its simply not worth worrying about. So far I'm leaning towards the first option.

Well after the the highly publicized cases where the owners were proven to be liars or completely at fault, people now realise that Toyota will aggressively investigate their claims. So the lying has finally stopped and the ones that were true have been fixed with the repairs.
