TemporaryFlightRestrictions are everyday occurences for any number of reasons, it's a pilot's responsibility to make themself aware of any in effect. Has nothing to do with Obama.

A pilot who doesn't check her radio or other instruments before "just flying around"? Maybe this will be a warning that will save her, and other pilots/passengers, lives one day. 30 miles from O'Hare and she's flying around incommunicado, no idea of flight paths.

"Oh dear" she said. Grandma needs to stay out of the sky if she's that casual about flying. She sounds like a lady who drives the wrong way down a highway and thinks "mercy me, why are those cars all honking at me?"

She normally uses her computer to check for any airspace restrictions, but it wasn't working properly.

To make matters worse, "I didn't have my radio on. I was just flying around," she said.
You always, ALWAYS check restrictions even when flying VFR. You can't blame Obama for this. He is the president of the United States. No radio on? Whew!

In a word____________________________BULLS**T!

You don't go off flying anywhere without checking both weather and TFRs, to do so in the heavily trafficked ORD airspace is inexcusable.

I'm no friend to this administration, but if you can't fly responsibly, stay on the ground.

I love it; this guy could have put hundreds of lives at risk by crashing into a landing commercial jet, or could have caused a major panic throughout Chicago (remember it was a guy in a one-person plane who crashed into the IRS building in Texas and killed an innocent person inside!), but let's use this incident as a means of bashing Obama for being arrogant enough to have a Secret Service that is serious about maintaining the safety of the president, instead of demanding that the pilot assume the basic personal responsibility of keeping an operational radio and checking for any TFRs!

Seriously, is there no story that some won't use as a chance to attack Obama?
