There are many industries in need of talented Mechanical Engineers. These range from transportation ranging from mining trucks, through railroads and rail equipment to farm machinery. Cast your net widely and look to get experience even if the pay is less than the sacred aerospace.
Thanks for your views and suggestions.

I have applied to several jobs in general mechanical as well, wherever my experience is suitable for me to qualify. I have applied to several jobs in general mechanical where the experience asked almost aligns with what is mentioned in my resume, and I put even greater effort into these applications to make sure they go through. I really am not able to apply for energy jobs, primarily due to lack of experience in the Energy concentration area. At this point, I am happy with whatever I can get in mechanical engineering, and am willing to work my way up.

Please don't eliminate the "Energy" sector. That area requires mechanical engineering all the way from designing High Tension Line structure to water turbines and generators. Remember the electrical guys specify how much wire is needed in a generator. The mechanical guys figure out how to put it in a package that will run nearly continuously for decades. All engineering is applying the basic principals in a sensible manner. Industrial specific details will be provided by your employer. Good luck and enjoy the search.

I am not eliminating the energy sector, I am only eliminating entry level jobs which specifically ask for energy concentration. BTW, I recently applied for an aerospace job through recommendation of my professor (after I talked to him about my failure in job searches). He told me to give his name as a reference. I really hope it goes through.

None of my clients will touch entry level with 3.65.
