Is it a Baltimore thing, or am I weird for having "wrong" thoughts when I hear "Teabaggers?"
I think Diane Rehm said it on her show last week or something, and I was like "ooh Diane's naughty." I just figured out what they were talking about.

"Teabaggers" is a derogatory term designed to discredit a movement of people who some people find threatening. Trying to marginalize or invalidate them by dumb, vulgar name calling seems to be the tactic ironically being taken by the partisan left in their hopeless efforts to regain their lost credibility (when really, all they're doing is further revealing themselves as infantile morons).

#1: "I know, we won't address any of the issues at all. We'll just call them a filthy name so my grandmother can hear it on the news and pretend not to be embarrassed when she asks what it all means. Then I will explain to her why it is not shameful that this is what the great nation of America has produced."

#2: "Kewl!"

High fives all around.

I quit.

John Water's brought the term to national attention in the film "Pecker" which mostly takes place in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore. I believe he referred to "teabagging"
