We have relocated to Columbia and I would greatly appreciate any recommendations for:
-pediatricians
-pediatric dentists (prefer those who specialize in just children but will take any that are very children-friendly)
-family doctor for the adults
-OB/Gyn if you have a good one!

Doesn't have to be in columbia but would prefer to be within 15 or so miles of columbia

Thanks so much!!!!

We went to Parnes, May & Associates for 10 years before we moved. They are in Ellicott City/Columbia. Dr. May is an amazingly competent and intuitive doctor. I didn't like every doctor in the practice, but I'd always request Dr. May. Mind you, he is not the most personable doctor in the practice, but he is the best, but I assume that you're looking for skill and not bedside manner. He is the only pediatrician I have ever had who called after an appointment with a sick child just to check to see how they were doing, and once he called to say that he'd been "thinking about" my child since the appointment we had and had some additional thoughts about things we might look for (symptoms and such). I was just so impressed that it was not "out of sight, out of mind" for him.

Oh...and as far as OB-Gyns....I vote for Dr. Apgar. She's also in Columbia with the Women's Ob-Gyn group. They're all women in that practice and I like them all, but especially liked Dr. Apgar, who delivered my third child. She's very "girlfriendish" and makes you very comfortable talking about all of those uncomfortable things you have to discuss with that sort of doctor!

I live in Columbia but we go to Dr. Ed Ginsburg at Smiles for Children it is a Pediatric Dentist Practice in Ellicott City. It is about 10 min. away on route 40 could be more depending on where you live. He is great and my kids love going to the dentist.
