Greetings,
We will be in beautiful Baltimore for 48 hours next week with our eight year old son. It's been years since I've been. Have you any recommendations on how we should spend that time? We will be staying at the Harbor. Thanks!

Choices include:

National Aquarium (if you go, be sure to check out a 4D show. I took kids ranging from 5 to 15 to the Dora 4D on and they loved it even if they were way too old for Dora). National Aquarium, Baltimore | Home

Port Discovery. Port Discovery

Maryland Science Center (we spent 7 hours here with the same group of kids) Maryland Science Center at Baltimore's Inner Harbor–Touch wonder.

For lunchtime food we really like Isabella's Pizza. It's a tiny place with only a couple of tables if you want to eat there, but the pizza is good. Thanks! I cannot eat pizza, how about reasonably priced seafood?

Anybody else got some input?

If you go to the Science Center (or if you don't!), walk over to Federal Hill. It's an amazing view and there's a little playground at the top for your son. The American Visionary Art Museum is next to Federal Hill on Key Hwy. Even if you don't go into the museum, there's lots to look at outside, and there's a treehouse in the back garden.

Seafood - I've never eaten there, but lots of people recommend Phillips'. They have a sit down restaurant and an order carry-out, two seperate places at the Harbor

The B&O railroad museum. If your son's anything like I used to be, he'll get a kick out of all the life-sized, walk-in exhibits, and if you're there at the right times, there's even a scenic, old-timey train ride to Ellicott City.

Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum

The Aquarium is also cool.
