What is Hunt Valley like? This will be home base for a few days and I'm curious what to expect.

Thanks!

There is a Hunt Valley Town Center where the light rail ends. There are a bunch of stores and restaurants there; it's pretty nice, although it's not really a destination at which many people spend all day. Hunt Valley is a decent place to stay if you're here for work because there are several good (chain) restaurant options for the evening right there. But if you're here just visiting, I would definitely explore more than just Hunt Valley; I would take the light rail to downtown Baltimore.

The light rail ends at Hunt Valley by a mall. A car is a must after that point. I'm not sure if they even have sidewalks out there. The mall itself has a few things and restaurants you could walk to if you are staying near that area.

It's your basic middle class suburban neighborhood with a lot of tract housing and a plethora of the same chain big-box stores and restaurants that you'll find in St. Louis. It's basically on the periphery of the Baltimore metro area, and there are some scenic country roads nearby as you get into "horse country." It's also relatively easy to get downtown on the light rail.
