Ambassador is IT for Indian. Mt Vernon has several fine Indian restaurants - my favorites there are Akbar and Kumari (Nepalese).

I like the Ambassador not only because of its food but its ambience. Reminds me of the Imperial Hotel in New Delhi.

The Ambassador is great--especially the Sunday brunch--but is a little pricey for a casual meal. It's great in warm months when the sunroom is opened up. The service is top notch.
