My husband is looking for a mature basketball league to join, possibly with another friend. Both are in late 30s but played college ball and are in good shape. The last time he checked the Y a few years ago it was kinda young and thuggish. He used to belong to a nice one in Columbia so he might travel to the burbs. Any suggestions??

Canton Merritt has an adult basketball league. Don't know the details of whether it's open to non-members. Give them a call.

If you're willing to travel to Anne Arundel county, the AA Parks and Recs has several that my husband has played in.
