Hi. I am a married mom of 3, 1 high schooler and 2 in elementary school. I am a political science major at a university near my home, but I am really considering a transfer to the University of Baltimore.

Where do I look for affordable, yet safe, housing and a good school system? I am not against riding the Metro to classes as long as there is a stop within walking distance of where we live.

I want trees! Someplace with either a yard or a place to walk the dogs, we have 2 that are under 15lbs a piece.

I would think we would need to stay under $1500 a month, as that is nearly double our current house payment and I know the cost of living up there is high.

Thanks!
Carrie

I'm looking for a rental in Baltimore City or County for $1000 or less for me and two kids. I have bad credit and an eviction from before but a good reference from current landlord. Any suggestions where I can look for a complex or landlord that would work with me on the credit and take security deposit over a few months?
