I am flying into PA for a funeral but could only find flights out of Baltimore Internation Airport. My flight leaves at 5:25 PM on Monday so obviously my concern is what to expect from rush hour traffic at that time. I will be going from Quarryville, PA to BWI, Google maps says it is 73 miles and 1 hour & 35 minutes. Any suggestions as to how long the drive will really take? The route will basically take me 28 miles down I-95 South then 11 miles around 295 South. Thanks so much!!

Well considering you're technically supposed to be at the airport almost 2 hours before your flight leaves, you should miss most of the traffic. You'll also be going opposite of traffic anyway until you are south of Baltimore, so the only place where it might slow up would be around the tunnel or 295. I would leave around 2:00.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping I would be going opposite of traffic like you said. My intention is to get to the airport by 4:30 since I won't be checking any luggage and will have already checked-in/gotten by boarding pass online. So my thought is to leave at 2:30 to arrive by 4:30 giving me a 30 min buffer on the estimated 1 hr and 30 min drive. Any other thoughts or advice would be much appreciated...

Did you rent a car or are you getting dropped off? If you're renting a car that may be cutting it a little close since the rental car location at BWI is a little further from the terminal than at some other airports. But if you're getting dropped off that should be good. The only other spot you might potentially hit some volume on 95 (other than due to accidents and such) may be around the Aberdeen Proving Ground, but that shouldn't be anything major.
