I am thinking about applying for a job at BWI airport. I would need to live as close as possible to the airport and a transit system. I am looking for apartments which are safe. Any help greatly appreciated.

Keep in mind there really is no "transit system" in the area of BWI, there is the light rail which goes to BWI, and the No. 17 bus which connects the business parks and Arundel Mills to BWI. Also the MARC train which is a commuter running between DC and Baltimore, with a stop near BWI (connected to the terminal by shuttle).

I haven't heard anything bad about Lynn Hill Apartments (Rt. 648 between Rt. 170 and Beltway). They're within walking distance of Light Rail station on Camp Meade Rd. (Rt. 170).

I lived at Colonial Square Apartments (off Oakwood Rd) in Glen Burnie. It was pretty nice. Commute to the airport was about 10 minutes. What amenities are you looking for in a place?
