Does anyone know of any inexpensive places to get married in the Baltimore area? With 150+ on the guest list, it is proving difficult to find somewhere that won't cost our life savings. North and east of Baltimore are do-able, but we don't want to look too far south since the groom's family is in Pennsylvania.

Any ideas at all are helpful!

If you were looking for an indoor venue, my sister, cousin and uncle all got married at Martin's East/West. There were 100 on the list for my sisters wedding and it was about $5000.

Martin's West has good food if that's any help. They are good with handling crowds. I've been there to office parties several times. Other than that, I know the Pikesville Hilton handles that much of a crowd. A review here mentions a lunch meal instead of dinner to save money: http://www.weddingwire.com/reviews/p...8291b33c2.html

Are there any caterers who put up tents in a park? You might also check back issue of Baltimore Magazine, as they probably have an article on wedding planning.

2640 St. Paul St (formerly a church) is VERY reasonable to rent if you're looking for a DIY wedding. Red Emma's Bookstore Coffeehouse : Events Not exactly a country club but with a little work the day before, it can be made gorgeous

Thanks everyone! My only concern with Martin's East/West is that I've heard some bad reviews about them having more than one wedding at a time, and it being really noisy.
HandsUpThumbsDown- Thank you! That's exactly the type of thing we are looking for.

That did actually happen at 1 of the 3 wedding I went to there but it wasn't too bad. Like Goldenage said though, their food is awesome!

You can try Morningside Inn, it's outside of Baltimore but awesome private location! website
