Hi there,

I'm looking to move into the city and would really like to be in Mt. Vernon. So far in my search, I have encountered one place on craigslist that is within my budget ($500/mo without utilities and $650ish with utilities). Obviously I'll need a roommate or two and that's fine. But all I see when searching online for Mt. Vernon apartments are these big apartment complexes that are way out of my range. And the postings on craigslist for roommates within my range are one in a million. I understand that Mt. Vernon is mostly made of old buildings split into a few apartments, but how do I find info about these online??

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Look for a roommate situation in Charles Village. I think you're priced out of Mount Vernon.

Bolton Hill is right next to mount vernon and $3200 with utilities is doable for decent apartment. I think craigslist is your best option.
