This forum has discussed the topic of Baltimore's best crab cake quite a bit. On this rainy evening we drove to Pasadena to enjoy the Wednesday crab cake special at Stoney Creek Inn, on Fort Smallwood Road, just before the bridge to Riviera Beach, 410-439-3123. A big crabcake, with one side, is just under $10 all day long. But be forewarned, the place closes at 9 p.m.
I don't know whether this is Baltimore's best crab cake but it surely is among the best. As my side, I always order sweet potato fries, which come with cinnamon sugar that you can sprinkle on them. Excellent.
It's a long drive from the city but well worth it.

That sounds fantastic, especially the sweet potato fries. Might have to rustle up some friends and make the drive!

A lot of people will swear that the best crabcake is at G&M's in Lansdowne, and I'll agree that it's a damn good crabcake -- huge and full of lump crabmeat. That restaurant is well known in the area. But my personal favorite is standing at the bar at Nick's Seafood at Cross Street market. Great atmosphere, great (and relatively affordable) crabcake.

Stop! Stop! your making me sick.
Ole G&M's, and let's not forget his cousin who runs Timbukto, then drive a little further south about 200 yards to Gunnings.
Crab Cakes and Cream of Crab Soup.

Down here in Georgia there is no such thing as a crab cake unless it's the type that nobody wants

One thing the Bawlmore area will always have. The best darn and only "Real" crab cakes in America.

I'm in Texas now, and at one grocery store they sell "Maryland Style Crabcakes." One time I asked the guy behind the counter what kind of meat they used, and he very proudly said "All claw meat, sir!"

At least you can buy them in Texas. In GA if you order a crab cake it will be "pan fried" with a Mrs. Pauls trademark
Goes with the fried potato, fried pickel, and grinders aka, fried hot dogs.
You can finish up with desert. Fried Twinkies.
