LOL.. Huh? What are you talking about? It forces me to ask many questions, and none of them
are about self. To each his/her own, but I still have to right to say it freaks me out.

"It's a (rather historic, now) symbol of gay culture."

I thought that rainbow flag was the most modern, politically correct symbol?

Hampden Fest is much better, IMHO.

The old Italian Festivals back in the day, circa' 70's were the best. The real AFRAM FESTIVAL, it's bowl of hot garbage now.

I've been to Hopkins Spring Fair..it's kinda nice!
Fells Point..it's ok! nothing to write home about
Artscape...need I say anymore.
Hampden Fest...ok.

Artscape: I have been going since the early 1980's
and watched it morph from a rather intimate local
event to a colossal kitchen sink fiasco where art is
relegated to a backseat (I even saw what, I guess,
was an example of Tea Party art where giant photos
of bloody fetuses were exhibited on the street while
a true believer screamed about the horrors
of abortion). I still go just to watch acres of half-naked
women walk around.

African-American (Heritage) Festival - What was once a
serious celebration of African American pride has become so
sterile that it seems thrown together at the last minute
to satisfy the "native" (or naive) population of Baltimore.

Stone Soul Picnic: This event, that used to be held in Druid Hill
Park, has grafted itself onto the AAF to save money and (once
again) to try to make the naive population of the city believe
it is still relevant.

Latinofest - Founded by Jose Ruiz (a great man and outstanding community
leader of local Latino and Hispanic populations who left us too soon).
I go to this festival every year to pay tribute to him and his accomplishments.
