Hello! Wondering if anyone has knowledge or information about the street parking situation on South Charles Street in Federal Hill. Is it plentiful, or would I have to drive around the block every day looking for a spot? Is it safe for a young female? I would also be willing to pay monthly for a guaranteed spot, if at all possible. Thanks in advance for your help!

It's pretty tough to find parking after 7pm unless you live at 1700 or 1800 block because there is parking around Wells St. till about 9-10pm. There are some monthly spots available at the Wall St. garage and West St. garage. Possibly some other opportunities.

In a city you should always be aware of your surroundings, but I've been walking around Fed Hill at all hours of the day and night for 10 years and never encountered anything close to sketchy situation.

Default parking in Fed Hill

Opposite of "plentiful". I would say after 6pm it starts to get tight... you can rent a space from Wall street garage or other little hidden spots- I know they are out there because I have one- but it will take awhile in the neighborhood to find one. However- for the second part of your question- it is safe to walk around in the evening- I am a female and I have never had a problem. Although I have never walked around after 11pm or so.

Good luck.

I've walked around fed hill in the middle of the night with absolutely no issue. There were still people out walking around at that time. Getting your mirror taken off by another car while parking on a small street will be your biggest concern.
