I think the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City is one of the closest. It is very nice, but on the expensive side. The Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn in Owings Mills are more mid-range options. Owings Mills has the advantage of being near a mall and popular restaurants.
The Best Western in Windsor Mill is decent and very convenient to the Beltway and I-70. It is more for business travellers. There are also budget motels along Route 40, but I can't vouch for any of them.
