Interesting enough, I don't see too many native Baltimoreans who've become famous in their chosen fields, come back and build things within the city that the people can enjoy? I may be wrong, and I hope I am, but until I see evidence of this...I will stand on my soapbox. Look what Robert Deniro has done with Tri-Beca??! Look at what Jay Z has done in Brooklyn, NY (to a certain extent), or what Kenny Gamble has done in Philly??!

I know Ray Lewis let someone use his name to open a BBQ spot. Is it still open? What about Chazz Palminteri's restaurant (and he's not even from Baltimore)?

Ray Lewis was supposed to open a bowling alley in Hunt Valley, but that didn't happen. In the past few days I found out that he sold his mansion in Reisterstown, and just saw that what was supposed to be the bowling alley, has been torn down. I doubt that he's even in Baltimore any more.

Ethel Ennis gave it a try. I think the city ended up making the larger investment.

Why do you say that? I'm interested in your perspective.

Default Why don't more Baltimore celebrities invest in the City?

Because their investment advisors don't want them to lose their asses.
