well.. if you did a survey of where many in Baltimore trace their roots back to.. I am sure that Alabama along with South Carolina would be at the top of the list.. followed by West Virgina, PA, and maybe Ohio..... So given that.. None of this would surprise me since people bring their heritage/culture with them. There is another thread on here about the "tipping point" of a city where you have a nice influx of people from other areas to go along with the people born and raised here.. Baltimore hasnt reached that point so local yocal attitudes prevail.. which are often parochial...
