Hello everyone, I trust that you are enjoying your summer. I'm happy: no snow. lol
Can someone shed some light on renting to own in Baltimore and Montgomery Counties?
I'm looking for a 2-3 bedroom. My primary criteria for right now. I know, low standards right. lol. It's just my son and me, so for the initial move, my demands are low. Oh, public transportation scoop would be nice. Rent range-1,000 to 1500. Yard, yes. I want a dog; can't do that in an apartment. They need space. I want a Jack Russell Terrier.

Thanks everyone,

V

1. That rent range for a house is probably impossible in Montgomery County, and nearly impossible in a safe neighborhood in Baltimore County.

2. If you want to be in Maryland, you might look at Carroll County, Hagerstown, etc.

Smile Rent To Own

Is it too cheap for Montgomery County?
Do people in Montgomery County even rent? lol
Do you have any information on Rent-to-Own in Maryland at all?
I work for the government and I would move to Baltimore or MOntgomery County.

Thanks much

Yes, people rent houses in Maryland. However, the price of houses for rent starts at about $1700-1800 in Montgomery County, and low-priced houses are in big demand. You can find houses for rent in Baltimore County in places like Gwynn Oak or Randallstown for $1300-1500.

We rented our house to a person who did a lease with option to purchase, and they eventually bought. It is very much up to the individual seller whether they would accept a contract like that. I suspect most would not in Montgomery because there is a big demand for houses to purchase. However, I suggest you consult a Realtor who advertises that they will work with you.
