So I am moving to Baltimore in January. I have lived in Richmond for about ten years and I need a change of scenery. There are sooooo many neighborhoods. I need some advice on where to look! I am a renter and I don't make more even $50k so it needs to be pretty affordable. I am used to having to drive to get to my grocery store and pharmacy etc. However I know I prefer to live in the city. I have lived in the suburbs of Richmond before and it just wasn't for me. If anyone is familiar worth Richmond. I have lived in the Fan near boulevard, the Fan next to VCU, the Fan near Grace st, suburbs, and Manchester. Manchester has been by far my favorite. Still have the city appeal living in an old warehouse, but there is parking unlike living in the Fan. Also no obnoxious drunk students. What does everyone think? There are so many different neighborhoods in baltimore it is kind of intimidating to choose.

How much per month are you willing to spend on a rental here in Baltimore?

Come to Baltimore on a scouting mission and check out the neighborhoods of Hampden, Woodberry, and Belvedere Square in North Baltimore and the Locust Point neighborhood in South Baltimore. I think you will like what you see.

Well, my across the street neighbor died this spring, so there's a recently re-habbed vacant house across from me...
Seriously, tho', might check out the Gardenville/Frankford area, really isn't that bad, and rental houses are reasonable.
