What's going on with professional baseball and the Baltimore Orioles?

The Orioles have been very disappointing this year. Luckily for them, the AL East is dismal and despite the fact that they are in last and vastly underperforming, they are somehow not out of it. Maybe they can get their act together.

Meanwhile, the Mets are in first place.

Congrats on the Mets DG!

Yeah, the Os and the AL East are looking meager as of late. I was at last night's $10 Tuesday Upper Reserve Sawx-Os game, and exciting 1-0 Os win. Had to leave in the 7th inning as I had the family with me. We rode to OPACY on our bicycles thru the Inner Harbor to Conway and it was a very nice evening, however my little guy has 2 more days of school left and couldn't be up and out too late.

Thanks! Although they got no-hit last night. Their offense is pretty bad. It's pitching keeping them afloat.

That sounds like a great time! My parents are coming down this weekend to celebrate the fact that I passed my comprehensive exam (yay! ) and we were thinking of going to OPACY Saturday night, but the weather looks iffy.

Hey, congrats on passing exams!

I've gone to many a poor weather, long delay game, still always have a good time, although good weather makes it better for sure. And I love riding my bike there, or riding all over town really, great exercise.

O's pitching is only OK and offense has not been stellar (feels like we are missing Cruz...) and defense has been looser this year than last. Seems like there is not a very identifiable face on this team as of yet, although AJ is trying.

Adam Jones is by far my favorite baseball player that isn't a Met. He is an excellent ballplayer (5 tools) and a classy gentleman. He plays the game right, in my opinion.

I certainly wouldn't mind a rain delayed game and nor would my dad, but my mom has already explicitly stated that she doesn't want to go if there's going to be a long rain delay.

Have you ever sat at club level? Its not my favorite as I prefer to be in the stands with the rabble, but Mom may enjoy that as it is pretty plush adn she can be inside, there are lots of lounges etc, TVs everywhere.

That's true, I didn't think of that. I also like to be out where the action is, plus I'm poor. But maybe if I can convince my parents to pay for the tickets...

There are seats that are not in a suite, the 200 level stuff. I'd try to sit anywhere from section 218 (outside 1st base) thru 248 (inside 3rd base), although left field seats may be pretty inexpensive comparatively. If Mom wants a nice sit down meal, since the old Camden Club is gone (top floor of the warehouse, men's room had a great view of the field!), she may like Dempsey's on the ground level of the warehouse on the Eutaw St concourse.

Regardless, hope y'all have a great time!
