As a city, Baltimore's "low cost of living for an east coast city" is not really an attractive attribute to me anymore. Believe me, if many folks in Baltimore City had the money to live comfortably elsewhere, they'd move to New York, San Fran, Tokyo, Boston and other cool metropolises. It equates to cheapness and low quality and that's the type of thinking that manifests itself through the city's DNA..."cheapness and low quality." That's my perspective!
