LOL! It's interesting that you say this, because it seems that my "hit and run posting/forum" is the only vehicle that even attempting to keep this, already dreadfully boring, and painstakingly stupid, Baltimore C-D Forum alive. Stop crying and post something to keep up engage Mr. Mary's Land?!!

They can remove all of the Confederate monuments and such 'til the cows come home. However, you can remove the hate from someone's heart. Yes, I know that it sounds a bit corny.

These monuments should be melted down and sunk in a river. They offer nothing but a celebration of traitors.

A small insignificant minority should be ignored and Historical Monuments should be left in place. If there is a serious question, its not up to Politicians to decide, but up to the people, and should be on a ballot.

Maybe we should get rid of the Pearl Harbor monuments as well, since they are also a monument to the overwhelming superiority of the Japanese Military at that site.

The whole "Politically Correct" idiot cult is puffing itself up, thinking they have power, because the majority consider them fools not worthy of action.

Forgive me if I'm wrong here, but I think that this is a slightly different situation than the South Carolina Confederate flag. In that case, the flag was being flown in front of the Capitol building. I think people had a problem with the symbol flying over the seat of government. There are still plenty of Confederate monuments in South Carolina that have not been removed.

That said, I wouldn't really have a problem getting rid of the monuments because I don't think Confederate history is something to be celebrated or revered. However, I'm not necessarily ready to get all up in arms over it because there is a difference between glorifying a certain bit of history (which I think putting the flag over the seat of government definitely crosses that line) and simply remembering that it happened, which I do not object to.
