I am going to Baltimore to get on Bahama Cruise, and I need some info about how the area is like so I can decide whether I should take public transportation or not.

I will be taking Greyhound to Baltimore MD, and I am planning to walk about 15-20 minutes to catch a public bus, 001 bus I think. I will be around M&T Bank Stadium, and I will be taking the bus on Hanover St & Ostend sb(southbound), and getting off on Fort & Woodall E/B (East bound).

Did anyone take this route before? I have never been to Baltimore, but heard a lot of rumor that the city is not that great in term of public safety, so just want to get a sense about how the area is.

All feedback are appreciated.

Since you are not from the city, it would be much easier and convenient to take a cab or uber.

Not sure where you are coming from .. But there is parking at the Cruise Terminal should you be able to drive. If you are talking the Bus to Baltimore.. Simply take a cab from the bus terminal to the cruise terminal.. it is about a 10 to 15 minute ride and you are there.. maybe it would cost $10 to $15. Or you can take UBER..If you were going to a place for a job interview or a simple visit then I would advocate taking public transit. But you are going on vacation.. so I would pay for the Cab/Uber for the piece of mind and to avoid any inconvenience... Enjoy

Thank you Alex and Woodland, I am considering cabs or Uber. Both of you are right, I should just get a cab or Uber, make it so much easier.

This is my first time using Uber, for me I have concern about using uber, but I'll give it a try and see how the experience goes.

Uber is pretty fast and convenient, in my experience. Be ready, they often arrive within minutes. There is also Lyft, which i have not used yet but I hear they are cheaper.

Did you ever had bad experience with any driver on Uber?

If it's your first time then use a promo code and your ride will be free, as well as easy.

Just make sure to download the app, input your credit card info, add the promo code, etc. before you leave for the trip. You don't want to be figuring all this stuff out on the fly.

I have never used Uber, but I used Lyft one time for about a 50 mile trip and it was a very good experience and a very good driver.
