Good point.

It figures that someone from Edgewood would agree with that comment
since it is part of the scenery out there.

It didn't help that the charges were not well thought out giving
rats slippery holes to escape through.
It's the prosecutor's job to sort through the facts and bring appropriate charges so the ''rats'' don't have ''slippery holes to escape through''. Instead, you have a prosecutor rushing to bring charges and, by doing so, becomes a national media star, even being featured in Vogue. After all, what community doesn't want its incompetent prosecutor in Vogue?

Not getting any convictions thus far speaks for itself.

Where are the TV cameras and Vogue now?

An Important Task In The Hands Of 3 Black Women | The MSU Spokesman

Three black women hold the fate of how justice will be served in the death of Freddie Gray.

The trio of women with this responsibility is Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby and the new U.S Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

“If, with the nation watching, three black women at three different levels can’t get justice and healing for this community, you tell me where we’re going to get it in our country,” said Rawlings-Blake at a news briefing Thursday.

Maybe if they were less racist and gender biased against white men, they might be more successful in their endeavors.

The group of officers is a diverse group, so I'm not sure where your anti white men statement applies here.

So far the system appears to be working, let's see where we end up after the courts have completely spoken.

So far the system is not working: the prosecutor brought charges to satisfy the mob and has lost so far. Translation being the charges were insufficient to get a conviction but sufficient to stir up the community. A complete disservice to the people of Baltimore.

She sure was a media star a year ago though.

So, no, the system is not working when you have a prosecutor like this. She needs to go.

So what Baltimore's black female mayor (and why shouldn't I identify her as such, since she seems perfectly happy to do so) is saying is, if there is no justice and healing for her community, it's the fault of black women?

To me, that sounds quite racist and sexist; but since I'm nothing but a white male, what do I know?
