Hi everyone,
I'm looking to rent an economy car for a few days end of next week in the Baltimore MD area & drive it one way to Boston MA for drop off. Can anyone recommend an out of the box cheap rental option? (My best idea is using my trade association discount with Hertz which gets me a high bill).
Thanks!

I think just about all of the car rental companies charge a substantial premium for one way trips. It would be cheaper to actually fly to Boston instead of the one way car rental with gas/tolls/time.

check them all online. Some are much cheaper for one way. I used Avis and Budget recently for one way and their rates were better than other agencies. But this varies by location.

You can also google something like "car rent coupon code" and the rental company name and you will find some codes to enter for discount.

You might ask if they have a "foreign" car, one with out of state tags, they want to head back "home". They might have one with NY or Mass tags on the lot. In the past I know they have used their shuttle drivers to move cars around like that.
