Baltimore City is in serious decline, so who would need or pay for it in the future?
With self driving vehicles on the horizon, investing in a subway makes no sense.

That's actually untrue. Point to point individual vehicles even when optimized are actually still terribly inefficient in structurally dense areas with many people especially at peak commuter periods.

.

Baltimore is in serious decline regardless with a welfare type tax-base already.

June 17th marks the end of a Baltimore institution.

Consider riding MTA Maryland #27 its full length to pay your respects. If I'm in town, I plan to.

RIP...rest in pieces.. Some of these MTA Routes take longer to ride than a Greyhound Bus to Philly just to get from one side of town to the other. Couple that with rude and surly bus drivers, the regular street hazards and ills of Baltimore, and the bi weekly visit for the various purveyors at the back of the bus selling everything from white tube socks, deodorant.. and those MACH 3 razors and we shall see how much change will happen... Some of these amenities will be missed
