Baltimore MSA was 4,000 over the last year. DC Metro was 23,000 over the last year, but both have been coming down.

In international migration, Baltimore MSA is +63,000 since 2010:

But just 4,000 in the last 12 months. Immigration is down everywhere, but 63,000 for the decade is fairly light. DC MSA was 300,000+, Miami 600,000+.

+63,000 puts it 20th in the U.S. for int'l immigration (which, as you stated, is down effectively across the board). Baltimore is the 21st-largest MSA in the U.S., so that's basically commensurate with its population. Nothing abnormal there.

But 27th between 2018 and 2019, and at just 4,000, not enough to prevent the MSA from losing population overall.

I think this is called missing the point, which is that the Baltimore MSA is still an obvious immigration location, and its collective immigration numbers are commensurate with its population.

Right, but the claim was that the Baltimore city mayor was encouraging (illegal) immigration. Baltimore (city) is not a major immigration center, of any type, at all.

Exactly. Immigration (legal or illegal) of any type is negligible in Baltimore.

Baltimore City politicians purposely avoid working with ICE and the federal government to
report or deport illegals. There are thousands in Baltimore City working in hotels, junk yards, auto shops, construction companies, hotels, etc. Well they were working, maybe not as of tonight(8 pm)

Go visit your local hospitals and health centers and you find plenty of
people that don't speak English and are most likely illegal. MD hospitals treat them and

just give them a pass!

But that has nothing to do with the claim. The claim was that Baltimore was importing undocumented immigrants to boost population, which is absurd. Baltimore barely has any immigrants to begin with.

Most major U.S. cities are Sanctuary cities. Nothing wrong with that. Sanctuary cities allow crime victims to report crimes without fear of reprisal re. immigration status. A rapist shouldn't roam free because his victim is afraid to approach law enforcement. But again, has zero to do with the conversation.

Wait, so Baltimore doctors are treating people who are speaking languages other than English? The horror!

That could be me, my wife, our parents or our children. How dare the doctors treat us! The patients have committed the unspeakable crime of knowing multiple languages!

Newsflash: I bet you most of the doctors speak other languages too. And many are immigrants!
