I went rabbit hunting a couple of the days and didn't need a jacket.

It's nice to be retired.
I'm one of those shiftless Baltimore residents that will never get to retire. No rest for the wicked!!!!!!

Well, we're all victims of our choices.

How true! When you are lazy, you have to work twice as hard.

Just to be lazy.

That's like when I was teaching. I'd have kids who worked harder to get out of an assignment than they would have if they'd just have done it.

True Story: Back in HS I was acting up one day and the teacher gave me a 'punishment' assignment'.
I was to look up in the news for what happened the day before related to the House Judiciary Committee
and impeachment hearings against Nixon and then write a report on what they did etc.

They were in recess that day but I was too stubborn to find that out and earn the bye.
Good teacher. The lesson stuck.

eta: This was a Baltimore City District High School.
Not long afterward he was leading the teachers strike.

What I meant was that when you live in Baltimore City - even if you are white - suburbanites will presume that you live there because you are lazy. I worked in Towson years ago and you wouldn't believe the **** that I had to take from my bosses because I lived/live in the city. My boss would just stop me in the hallway and and unload on me about it when he was in a bad mood. But just like Mr. Rational when he was a school kid, that kind of abuse just made me more stubborn to stay. Can't let the bastards win! My grandfather was still working a few days a week into his 80's when his health deteriorated. I hope to be so lucky.
